Objective: To investigate the relationship between sense of power and subjective well-being of
hearing impaired college students, and the mediating effect of belief in a just world. Methods: This study
surveyed 351 hearing impaired college students in Tianjin with Sense of Power Scale, Personal Belief
in a Just World Scale, Index of Well-Being Scale. Results: ① Sense of power, belief in a just world and
subjective well-being of hearing impaired college students showed significant positive correlation between
every two of them. ② Belief in a just world plays a partial intermediary role between sense of power and
subjective well-being of hearing impaired college students, and the mediating effect accounts for 40.74%
of the total effect. Conclusion: Sense of power can directly or indirectly affect subjective well-being of
hearing impaired college students through the mediating effect of belief in a just world.
