Local red culture is an integral part of the national red culture, and its inheritance is crucial to maintaining the Party’s advanced nature. It is also a responsibility and mission of universities, as well as an important measure to help college students grow and succeed. This paper analyzes the value of integrating local red cultural resources into ideological and political education in universities, and explores the existing problems and their causes during the integration process. Furthermore, it seeks practical paths for incorporating local red cultural resources into ideological and political education in universities from aspects such as strengthening the educational workforce, enhancing students’ cultural identity, integrating red cultural resources, and developing dual-track educational platforms. The aim is to promote the better integration of local red cultural resources into ideological and political education in universities.
