Transknowletology is an emerging field of translation research, which advocates more attention to the knowledge itself during the translation process, and practice of translation examined from the historical perspective of different knowledge communities. International translation of art also requires translators to acquire extensive background knowledge. This paper analyzes the new identity of translators from the perspective of Transknowletology, the knowledge reconstruction of translators in the translation process, and the translation effects under the evaluation criteria of the principle of real meanings, full preparations and TT aesthetic conceptions of Transknowletology. And then it evaluates some of the merits and parts to be strengthened in the international translation of the 9th Wuzhen Theatre Festival. It is hoped that this study will be a reference for similar literary and artistic international translation activities, promote the Wuzhen Theatre Festival to be known to more audiences at home and abroad, and show a more authentic, three-dimensional and comprehensive image of Chinese art.
