The psychological problems of college LGBTQ students are becoming
more and more prominent. Based on the review of domestic and foreign studies
and the practice of psychological counseling, it is found that the psychological
problems of college LGBTQ students mainly include the following aspects: (1) the
fear of institutional and heterosexual culture; (2) anxiety about exposure, bullying,
discrimination and infection; (3) loneliness caused by isolation and marginalization;
(4) depression and suicide. In response to LGBTQ students' psychological problems,
many colleges and universities have adopted certain practices and measures, including
through the GSAs alliance to reduce or reduce the misunderstanding and prejudice
between each other; To introduce LGBTQ in classroom teaching; The school carries
on the related training to the teacher, displays the teacher's function; And through
the psychological counseling center to provide professional psychological counseling
services. At present, there are still relatively few studies and researches on this group
in domestic colleges and universities, and the relevant measures are still insufficient.
Based on this, this paper proposes some practical methods and countermeasures to
guide LGBTQ students.
