This thesis presents a case of college student with bipolar disorder in
remission who underwent cognitive behavioral therapy. Such as psychological
education, recognition and challenge of automatic thinking and belief, behavior
experiment were mainly adopted. After 20 times of counselling, the results showed that
the visitor is emotionally stable, her interpersonal relationship improved significantly.
She is able to communicate with roommates easily and dared to express her real
thoughts, and her academic performance is greatly improved. This study proves that
cognitive behavioral therapy is effective in the recovery of social function of college
students in remission of bipolar disorder.
