Based on the openness of psychoanalysis and the fact that the wisdom of traditional Chinese culture is often accommodated and assimilated by psychoanalysis, this study explores the psychoanalysis theory implied in Liu Yiming’s Crossing the Passes of life from the perspective of ancestral complex and family love ethics. The accomplishment of ancestor complex lies in physical and mental liberation, and the anchor point of the meaning of life should slipping from being bound by family love to xingming cultivation, is the interpretation given by Liu Yiming in the “Preface” and “Family Love Pass” of Crossing the Passes of life, attempts to fill in the self ’s defects that he has seen in his own era and perspective that are commonly present in people.
