This case report details the experience of a university student who, after taking a leave of absence due to a mental health condition, returned to school only to find that they were still troubled by their avoidance of social interactions and feelings of depression, seeking the help of a psychological counselor. Over the course of eight counseling sessions, primarily utilizing Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and employing a collaborative home-school-medical professional mechanism, the student was assisted in alleviating social anxiety and readjusting to the return to academic life.
