Using a case study design, this study implemented a sandplay intervention on a child with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. After the exposure to parent-child problems, the mother’s willingness and behavior to cooperate, and the transformation and growth of the child, the results showed that the child and the mother established a benign communication channel, and the mother had more confidence in her child. Meanwhile, the child’s peer relationship and teacher-student relationship were also improved. Based on the results, three practical implications are proposed. First, the primary guardian should participate in the intervention of children’s emotional and behavioral problems throughout the process. Second, mothers need to maintain respect and understanding of their children’s wishes and needs. Third, mothers are advised to continue to change and improve their family education methods.
