Objective: To explore the effect of single group psychological counseling based on the OH card on social self-efficacy among college students, and to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of group counseling in improving college students’ perceived social self-efficacy. Methods: A total of 123 college students (including 42 male students) were recruited to participate in a 2-hour group OH card counseling, and a one-factor experimental design was used. The students’ social self-efficacy, positive affect and negative affect were evaluated before and after the intervention. Results: The post-test scores of social self-efficacy and positive affect were significantly higher than that in the pre-test, while the post-test score of negative affect was significantly lower than that in pre-test. Conclusion: Single group psychological counseling based on the OH card can effectively improve the social self-efficacy and mental health among college students.
