Several inducing factors, both external stimulus events and individual intrinsic factors, are known to trigger psychological problems among college students. TTis report discusses a psychological counseling case involving a college student who suffered from depression, anxiety, and other psychological distress caused by unreasonable cognition, a result of broken relationships. Psychological counseling and ABC cognitive therapy were carried out to adjust the patient’s cognition, escape the psychological dilemma, and gradually adapt to campus life. Through this report, insights can be drawn from the case interpretation, reflection, and experience summary, offering potentially constructive educational references for psychology going forward.
