Objective: To explore the effectiveness of using group counseling to enhance the sense of meaning in life of college students. Method: A total of 67 college students were measured before and after using the Life Meaning Scale and the Respect Scale. The participants were divided into an intervention group and a control group. The intervention group received a 3-hour life education group counseling for 8 weeks, once a week, while the control group continued as usual. Result: There was a significant interaction effect between the pre - and post tests of the group seeking meaning among college students. The pre test of seeking meaning in the control group was significantly higher than that in the post test, while the post test score of seeking meaning in the intervention group was significantly higher than that in the pre test; The interaction effect between the awe group and the pre - and post test was significant, while the difference in awe between the control group and the pre test was not significant, while the intervention group showed significantly higher awe after the post test than before. Conclusion: Life education group counseling can effectively enhance the sense of meaning and awe in life for college students.
