Cognitive behavioral therapy is a structured, short-range, present-focused approach to psychotherapy .This paper discusses how to conceptualize and consult clients with general psychological problems caused by emotional distress due to interpersonal relationships. The client has emotional problems due to interpersonal disturbance. By using the techniques of support refute, five-column table, behavior experiment and Bowen family chart, the client’s emotional problems were alleviated after 6 sessions of consultation, and the expected consultation goal was reached.
