This paper is a report on a self-injured college student who has a low self-identity and sensitive interpersonal relationships. The client is a sophomore girl, suffering from long-term insomnia, emotional lability, interpersonal sensitivity, low self-identity, who once had the self-insuring behavior and suicidal intentions. This client is regarded as suitable for psychological counseling after a proper assessment which ascertains that she does not has the mental disease. After that the Satir model treatment is adopted in the following 8 times counseling, during which techniques and methods of drawing family tree, sculpture, exploring icebergs, weather forecast and communication are implemented. As a result, during the counseling and within three months after it, the client, knowing how to adjust her emotions with the methods she learnt from the consultation, did not commit self-injuring behavior and her sense of self-worth was increased.
