This article reports on a case study of a sophomore male student who experienced academic anxiety due to conflicts in his dormitory. The triggering event in this case was clear and the symptoms were typical. The counselor used narrative therapy to help the student externalize the problem and reframe their identity through reshaping dialogue. This method helped the student rebuild their self-identity, enhance self-worth, and actively cope with interpersonal conflicts as well as academic anxiety. As a result, the client was able to return to a normal life and study routine, achieving the desired counseling goals.
