This case report presents a group supervision of the Move to Emptiness Technique (MET). Following the MET supervision model of “Knowledge-Action-Intention-Ethic-Case”[1], this group supervision discussed where loneliness in the emptiness (“Kong”) comes from and related technical issues in the operation of MET. The supervisor elucidated the origins of loneliness, drawing distinctions between monistic and dualistic perspectives in Eastern and Western cultures. Specifically, the supervisor explained how MET could help clients achieve personality growth and sublimation based on the Chinese cosmic philosophy of “nature and man are united as one”.
