A total of 426 students, 66 teachers and 489 parents from three secondary schools were used as subjects to explore the mental health and study habits of secondary school students using the Loneliness Scale, the Simple Self-Esteem Questionnaire, the Study Habits Inventory, and self-prepared teacher and parent questionnaires. It was found that, in general, secondary school students have lower loneliness, higher self-esteem and average study habits; girls from rural areas have significantly lower study attitudes than girls from urban areas; boys have significantly better study attitudes than girls; students from rural areas have stronger rebellious mentality and deeper tendency to be closed; discrimination still exists among secondary school students; etc.
