The problem of students’ academic difficulties is the limiting factor of the quality of talents training in colleges and universities. In order to reduce the negative impact of the problem on students, families, schools and even society, from the perspective of humanism, the case study method is adopted to conduct six psychological consultations on a student with academic difficulties, to understand the formation of students’ academic difficulties and the ways to deal with difficulties. Help students to transform negative thinking, cultivate positive psychological quality, play their own potential, the consultation effect is remarkable. To establish the cultivation path of positive psychological quality of students with academic difficulties in colleges and universities, we should pay attention to the establishment of a good relationship between teachers and students, help students face their own problems, perceive the positive force behind the problems, and constantly strengthen the positive psychological quality.
