This case report is a typical case of a college student who fell out of love. The client had planned to take the graduate school and made a detailed revision plan for himself. However, due to the sudden loss of love, he had obvious changes in her sleep and diet, as well as anxiety, depression and inability to concentrate, which seriously affected her study life. The interview revealed that the client had significant rumination, self-doubt and low selfworth, and had suicidal thoughts. To address the above situation, the counselor used the techniques related to Focused Solution Brief Therapy (SFBT), starting from describing the problem, setting goals, exploring exceptions, and helping the client to make a new interpretation and construction of the problems he was facing. It helps the client to gradually accept and transform his feelings of loss, see his strengths and give positive empowerment. After eight counseling sessions, the client was able to rationalize his loss of love, and initially mastered effective methods to explore his own meaning, and gained the endogenous motivation and support for continuous self-affirmation.
