This paper is a case report of using Move to Emptiness Technique (MET) to deal with depressive disorder. The client participated in the “Mind Flower Project” due to depression and since then received 8 consultations, 4 interviews and 5 times with MET (in the 4th visit, interview and MET process were conducted together). Five physical and mental symptoms, including “head lethargy”, “back fatigue”, “irritability”, “head inhibition” and “dry eyes”, were treated with MET respectively. All of the symptoms achieved significant results, and the follow-up effect was well maintained. After 8 weeks of MET intervention, the multi-dimensional perception assessment of interoceptive perception was significantly improved, the brain connectivity function was greatly decreased, and the depression state also remarkably improved, which showed the effectiveness of MET. This paper presents the consultation process of MET with detailed case evaluation, and at the end, the author left some personal thoughts on how to apply MET to Depressive Disorder.
