Objective: To study the influence of Music Group Counseling on College Students’ interpersonal
related factors. Methods: 31 college students were randomly recruited in a university in Wuhan. They were
given music group counseling once a week for three hours, a total of eight times and 24 hours. Results:
There were significant differences in the total scores of Communication Anxiety Scale (IAS), social
avoidance and distress scale (SAD), avoidance factor score and distress factor score, and interpersonal
relationship scale for college students. The subjective feelings of the subjects also confirmed the
evaluation results. Conclusion: Music group counseling can comprehensively improve the interpersonal
communication level of college students by reducing communication anxiety, social distress and social
avoidance behavior.
