This paper is a case report of the use of Move to Emptiness Technique (Yi Kong) to treat a client's psychosomatic symptoms and to improve her intimate and interpersonal relationships in reality. In this case, four counseling sessions, one initial interview, and three sessions of MET counselling were done. The target symptoms were tightness and pain in the left leg and foot, tightness and pain in the heart, and feelings of being neglected and unloved. The groin pain that had been bothering the visitor for 17 years was also resolved during the process. The three sessions of MET treatment not only eliminated the negative feelings of the client, but also brought to the surface and healed the long-suppressed traumatic feelings of the client's early life. In this case, clinical healing was achieved through MET treatment. In-depth follow-up after one month determined that the effect was long-lasting and that the intimacy and interpersonal relationships of the client had improved significantly. This paper presents the therapeutic process of using MET and the reflections and discussions on this process.
