Research on the Difference between the Professional Cultivation of Pre-employment Education and the Needs of Ability of School Psychology Teachers in Actual Work Situations
In order to know the difference between the professional cultivation and the needs of ability
of school psychology teachers, and to provide constructive suggestions for the courses of universities in
the department of psychology, this study investigated the primary and secondary psychology teachers by
using the self-compiled questionnaire in Jiangsu Province. The results are as following.
The psychological training of school psychology teachers is short of psychological professional courses,
which are “School-Wide Practices”, “Family-School Collaboration Services”, “Diversity in Development”
and “Preventive and Responsive Services”. Therefore, it is important to offer the professional courses that
meets the needs of school psychology teachers in their actual work.
