This paper is a case report of the use of Yikong skill to deal with multiple psychosomatic
symptoms caused by COVID-19.During the Spring Festival of 2020, the visitor stayed in Wuhan alone for
nearly a month due to the closure of the city due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Later, the visitor gradually
developed a variety of serious psychosomatic symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, paranoid thoughts,
headache, neck and shoulder pain.The counsellor conducted 10 sessions with the client using Yikong skill,
the first initial interview, and the second and ninth sessions, each of which used Yikong skill to deal with
a major symptom.All patients were followed up for one week and the total follow-up was conducted for
the 10th time.At the end of the consultation, the client had no obvious psychosomatic symptoms, and all
aspects of life and work had improved greatly.This paper presents the consultation process of Yikong skill
and the consultant’s reflection, and gives a preliminary discussion on the application of Yikong skill in
long-term psychological consultation.
