Abstract: Self-identity is the core of youth personality development, and it affects the development of individuals throughout their lives. In modern society, the university age is exactly the "psychological delay period." The university stage happens to be a critical period for the formation of self-identity. It is necessary for us to take measures to promote the development of college students' self-identity. This article reports how to use narrative therapy to solve the emotional distress caused by the interpersonal relationship of the visiting students during the adaptation process, improve the inferiority complex of the client, and promote the self-identity of the client.
