This paper is focused on a musical group counseling program for students
with social communication anxiety. The group has recruited eight college students
including four male students and four female students each. Through a series of
structural music activities designed on schedule, the group leaders helped the group
members get enlightened or improved someway via musical therapies. The pretest
results combined with the post-test results showed that after six times of group
musical therapies, the scores of social communication anxiety decreased significantly
on average, which has proved that this program succeeded in achieving the effect of
reducing social communication anxiety degree in an obvious way.
