Two studies were conducted to investigate the influence of team leader's
sense of power on leadership effectiveness. In the first study, a questionnaire survey
was conducted among 238 team leaders. The results show that there is a significant
positive correlation between leaders' personal sense of power, interpersonal sensitivity
and leadership effectiveness. Leaders’ personal sense of power significantly predicts
leadership effectiveness. Study 2 in the laboratory environment, 180 subjects were
divided into three groups and the group leaders’ sense of power was investigated
through a questionnaire. The results show that the team leaders’ personal sense of
power has significant effects on leadership effectiveness. The interpersonal sensitivity
of leaders plays a moderating role in the relationship between leaders' personal sense
of power and leadership effectiveness.
