objective: to use meta-analysis to explore the relationship between fear of
negative evaluation and social anxiety. Methods: 8 chinese and 22 english papers,
which include 14368 subjects were collected from various chinese and foreign
databases. Results: (1) Through the meta-analysis of random effect models, it was
found that the fear of negative evaluation was highly positively correlated with social
anxiety (r =0.56). (2) An analysis of regulatory effects showed that subjects had a
moderating effect on fear of negative assessment and social anxiety.
