Objective: To investigate the relationship between self-efficacy and parenting style and self-control of college students.Methods: 328 college students were investigated with the Simple Parenting Style Questionnaire (S-EMBU), Self-control Scale (SCS) and General self-efficacy Scale (GSES).Results : (1) College students’ self-efficacy was positively correlated with their parents’ emotional warmth and self-control ability, and their parents’ emotional warmth was positively correlated with their self-control ability.(2) Self-control played a completely mediating role in the relationship between parental emotional warmth and self-efficacy.Conclusion: There is a correlation between parenting style and selfefficacy and self-control, the parenting style of caring, encouraging and praising is beneficial to improve children’s selfcontrol ability, and then improve children’s self-efficacy.
