Given the current rise of reemployment among young and elderly people in China and the contradiction between age restrictions in the job market, this study explores the implicit occupational age stereotypes of young people towards women and their impact on resume selection tendencies. The results showed that young people generally have implicit age stereotypes about female occupations, that is, they prefer younger women in some occupations and older women in others. However, this stereotype does not direct affect the resume selection tendency in predicted recruitment scenarios.
