Chinese psychology is rooted in Chinese culture, using the “problem-centered” methodology of evidence, based on direct subjective experience, and using rational logical thinking as a tool, trying to solve how to transform inner experience into public knowledge, so as to explain human psyche in all aspects, predict human mind with high probability, and solve practical problems. The most essential and core difference between Chinese psychology and Western psychology lies in the research paradigm. Western psychology uses empirical methodology to study people’s indirect experience, while Chinese psychology uses internal evidence methodology to study people’s direct internal subjective experience. Therefore, the concept of “internal experience data” is proposed for the first time in this study to distinguish it from existing forms of psychological data. Chinese psychology must conform to Chinese ethics, adapt to Chinese culture, and effectively serve the Chinese people and Chinese society.
