Bullying can be categorized into traditional bullying and cyberbullying. The primary roles in bullying include the bully, the victim, and bystander. Role continuity and role inversion mechanisms are among the factors that contribute to the sustained or even exacerbated negative effects of bullying. By examining the relationship between traditional bullying and cyberbullying and the processes of role transitions, the Triadic Cycle Model of bullying has been created. This model not only aids in comprehending the complexity of bullying formation but also provides a novel theoretical foundation for future anti-bullying policies and practices.
