Interrogation is a complex game between investigators and suspects around confession, involving psychological game, interest game and evidence contest. The psychological motives of criminal suspects affect their confession behavior, so it is important to effectively understand these motives and adopt targeted strategies. Starting from the psychological principle, this paper analyzes the cognitive dissonance and rationalization, selfdefense, gain and other psychological motives of criminal suspects. Based on this, the interrogation strategy is proposed, including the establishment of affectivity effect, collection of exclusive information, psychological game, etc., emphasizing the use of psychological methods to improve interrogation, so as to promote the honest confession of suspects, ensure the legitimate, reasonable and reliable interrogation results, and promote the interrogation breakthrough and case detection.
