In recent years, with the increasing number of students in private universities, they have gradually become an important part of China’s higher education. However, with the increasing number of students year by year, the quality of student sources varies, and the problems of emotional regulation and management for students after entering university have become increasingly prominent. This study adopts a sampling survey method to conduct a sampling survey of 181 new students from private universities, to understand the current situation and problems of their emotional regulation ability, and to propose corresponding educational suggestions and coping strategies.
