This study targeted men as the target group and used semi-structured interview method to interview 21 men of different age groups. The interview text was encoded using NVIVO14.0 software, aiming to explore how men from different growth backgrounds and social roles perceive menstruation and how they treat women during menstruation, in order to understand the role of men in female menstruation and provide suggestions and ideas on how men can help women during menstruation. Research has found that men mainly acquire knowledge about menstruation through four channels: family, school, peer communication, and public media. Men in different social roles tend to change their attitudes towards menstruation and women during menstruation in a direction that meets the requirements and expectations of the individual’s role background. Most men talk about menstruation from a macro perspective, and current social beliefs and cultural traditions can shape men’s understanding of menstruation. The respect society places on women can also affect the way men treat women and those who are experiencing menstruation.
