Based on the assumption that the investment in love has the risk of sinking cost, this studydiscusses the influence of positive illusion of self-appearance on the sinking risk of college students’ lovecost. Taking the positive illusion of self-appearance as the independent variable, and the effort of thesubjects to recover the sunk cost of money and behavior as the dependent variable, a single-factor intersubjectexperiment was carried out. The results show that under the partial money cost (300 yuan), theefforts of middle group to recover the sunk cost of money are significantly higher than those of low groupand high group F (2, 86)=4.194, p<0.05, η2=0.089. It shows that under the low cost of money (300 yuan),individuals who have moderate beautification of their self-appearance are more willing to increase theircost and maintain their love relationship in the face of love crisis; Individuals who have low and highbeautification of self-appearance are more willing to stop the loss in time and give up the relationship. This is helpful to help individuals fully understand the characteristics of their own love risk decisionmakingand make appropriate decisions.
