The mental state and parent-child relationship of parents of children with special educationneeds play an important role in the future growth of children. This study adopts the method ofquestionnaire survey to investigate the perceived pressure state, emotion, parent-child relationship,educational expectation and other aspects of 202 parents of children with special education needs. Theresults show that parents of children with special education needs generally feel greater pressure. Theparent-child relationship of the family is mainly intimate and harmonious, and the parents’ expectationfocuses on the independent life of the children with special education needs. Therefore, the followingsuggestions are put forward: (1) Psychological support for parents of special children is supposed to bestrengthened; (2) Developing key competencies to lay the foundation for the social integration of childrenwith special education needs; (3) Improving the social support system for children with special needs.
