As one of the important interpersonal relationships of college students, dormitory interpersonalrelationships have a profound impact on their mental health. This paper explores the relationshipbetween these two aspects and the manifest influencing factors, in order to build a harmonious dormitoryinterpersonal relationship to promote the development of physical and mental health of collegestudents. After granted permission, 605 special students in a university were requested to complete twokinds of questionnaires. The results show that: (1) 11.74% of college students have different degrees ofinterpersonal problems in dormitory. (2) There is a positive correlation between dormitory interpersonalrelationship and mental health. (3) Principal component analysis and multiple stepwise regressionanalysis finds that conversation factor and social and dating factor items are the main factors that affectdormitory interpersonal relationship. The university, dormitory and college student should work togetherto improve dormitory interpersonal relationship and reduce the psychological pressure caused byinterpersonal conflicts.
