Objective: This study aims to explore the correlation between the quality of life in patients withserious illnesses and social support from multiple dimensions. Methods: The meta-analysis method wasemployed to achieve the research objectives. A total of 147 relevant articles were selected from Chinesedatabases, and correlation coefficients between various dimensions of quality of life and social supportwere extracted. The analysis was conducted using CMA 3.0 software, resulting in a final inclusion of18,075 total samples, including 1,654 effect sizes. Results: (1) There is a significant positive correlationbetween the quality of life in patients with serious illnesses and social support, with a correlationcoefficient of 0.461, indicating a relatively high level of correlation. (2) The quality of life in patientswith serious illnesses is significantly positively correlated with objective support, subjective support,and support utilization, with correlation coefficients of 0.342, 0.394, and 0.314, respectively, indicating amoderate to high level of correlation. Conclusion: There is a positive correlation between the quality of lifein patients with serious illnesses and social support, with varying degrees of correlation among differentdimensions.
