In order to understand the current research situation of family education in China, sort out thedevelopment of this research field, and reveal its trajectory and characteristics, this study uses CiteSpacesoftware to visualise and analyse the CSSCI literature about family education in China included inChina Knowledge Network from 2000 to 2022. The results show that the research on family education inChina has been on an upward trend in the past two decades, and the current research hotspots mainlyfocus on the five aspects of home-school-society co-education, parent-child relationship, mental health,legalisation of family education, and family education for special groups. The path of cooperation betweenhome-school-society education, the mechanism of the influence of family and parent-child interaction onchildren's psychology and behaviour, the development of family education in the context of legalisation,and the current situation and development of family education for the disadvantaged groups will be thetrend of China's family education research in the future.
