Family is the earliest place for children to form social relations, and the social relations between
father, mother and other family members play a key role in shaping children’s health psychology. Marital
violence is a physical and mental assault by the abuser on the victim, which will destroy the harmony
of the family and the stable social system. Among them, children who witness marital violence in
their families will also be affected, resulting in interpersonal disorders, learning disabilities and other
psychological problems. Moreover, the experience of witnessing marital violence in childhood is closely
related to the future juvenile delinquency, and even makes individuals become perpetrators of future
marital violence. We should strengthen the psychological treatment of children in marital violence
families, reduce the negative impact of marital violence on children’s psychological development, and
reduce the intergenerational transmission of marital violence.
