With the continuous deepening of China’s education reform and the continuous improvement
of the system of college students’ independent career choice, college students’ recognition of their own
majors is important. College students’ professional identity is that students emotionally accept and
recognize their major based on their understanding of their major, and are accompanied by positive
learning motivations and behavioral performance. College students’ professional identity will not only
affect the degree of investment in college students’ professional studies and the enthusiasm of college
students, but also further affect the learning career of college students throughout the university stage;
professional recognition will also promote the development of individual mental health level and
effectively predict the subjective happiness of college students. Therefore, on the one hand, this paper
understands the current situation of college students’ professional identity, and provides some theoretical
and practical help for the future development of college students. On the other hand, in previous studies,
it has also been found that there are differences in the professional identity of college students in the three
dimensions of different grades, different student origins, and different disciplines; at the same time, it is
also found that there is no difference in the professional identity of college students in the dimension of
gender.
