Social psychologists worked on in order to find the main factors that affecting relationship
duration in the past decades. Many researchers have assumed that the best route to understanding
persistence is to explore the determinants and consequences of positive affect-attraction, satisfaction, or
love. With the deepening of research, it is found that satisfaction level and emotional investment are risk
factors affecting the relationship duration. This study, from a new perspective emotional investment, first
from the emotional investment proposed, then from the measurement of emotional investment tools,
finally analyzes the influencing factors of emotional investment. On this basis, future research can pay
more attention to relationship between emotional investment and intimate relationship.
