Objective: To investigate the effect of peer attachment on College Students’ daily emotional
experience. Methods: 972 college students were assessed with the Inventory of Parent and Peer
Attachment and the Positive and Negative Affect Scales. Results: (1) The level of peer attachment of female
college students was significantly higher than that of male college students, The level of peer attachment
of college students with left-behind experience is significantly higher than that of college students without
left-behind experience, Compared with freshmen and junior students, sophomores have the lowest level
of peer attachment; (2) Peer attachment has a significant positive correlation with college students’ daily
positive emotional experience and a significant negative correlation with college students’ daily negative
emotional experience; (3) Peer communication has a significant positive predictive effect on College
Students’ daily positive emotional experience, Peer alienation has a significant positive predictive effect
on College Students’ daily negative emotional experience, Peer trust and peer communication have a
significant negative predictive effect on College Students’ daily negative emotional experience. Conclusion:
Peer attachment can predict college students’ daily positive emotional experience and negative emotional
experience.
