Using the “Self-Esteem Scale” and the “General Self-Efficacy Scale” as survey tools, a
questionnaire survey was conducted on 116 psychological committee members of the 2021 class from
Wenhua College, we studied the self-worth and self-efficacy status of freshmen psychological committee
members. Independent variables such as gender, education, major, place of origin and only child status
were analyzed. Results showed that the sense of self-worth and self-efficacy significantly differed in
different origin places. For both self-worth and self-efficacy, there were significant differences those
come from big cities and those from the countrysides. For self-efficacy, there were significant differences
between psychological committee members from large cities and psychological committee from other
areas, including those from prefecture-level cities/counties, townships, and rural areas.
