Objective: To investigate the mental health status and influencing factors of Beijing residents
under the background of COVID-19 prevention and control. Methods: 1758 Beijing residents
were investigated online and offline using Xu Jun’s self-measured mental health rating sub-scale.
Results: (1) The average score of mental health of Residents in Beijing was 101.90±21.29, significantly
lower than that in 2017; (2) The results of variance analysis showed that the mental health level of Beijing
residents was significantly different in age group, marital status, subjective social class and current working
status. Conclusions: In the context of the normalization of novel Coronavirus epidemic prevention and
control, the mental health level of Residents in Beijing has significantly decreased compared with that
before the epidemic. The focus should be on residents aged 18-25, divorced, widowed, unmarried, the
lowest level, secondary school or vocational high school, students, unemployed, unemployed or laid-off
residents, and residents whose domiciles are in rural areas outside Beijing.
