Under today's Internet background, plentiful network information channels provide more forms and contents for adolescents' idolatry activities. In order to study the relationship among idol worship, loneliness and social anxiety of adolescents, and whether social anxiety plays an mediating role between idol worship and loneliness. In this study, 522 adolescents were tested with Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS), University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and Social Anxiety Subscale of Self-Consciousness Scale (SASS-CS), and analyzed statistically by SPSS software. The results show that there is a significant positive correlation between idol worship, loneliness and social anxiety, and social anxiety has a partial mediating effect between idol worship and loneliness, with the mediating effect accounting for 39.82%.
