In order to understand the burnout status of private college teachers and its influencing factors,
the Burnout Scale (MBI-GS) was used to investigate the teachers of a private college. The results show
that the overall level of teacher burnout at the school is moderate and the work status is generally good.
There was no significant effect of age, gender, and job category on job burnout. Title, course nature, and
distributional equity have significant effects on job burnout. Associate professors had the highest levels of
burnout, and faculty with both public and specialized courses had the highest levels of burnout and low
levels of reduced personal accomplishment. There is a significant negative correlation between distributive
justice and job burnout among teachers in this private college. Distributive justice was significantly and
negatively related to the emotional exhaustion dimension and the cynicism dimension.
