This study explores the mechanism of College Students’ non cognitive
ability regulating negative emotional state, and tests the important intermediary
role of college life satisfaction in it. The results showed that the non-cognitive ability
including social communication ability, self-efficacy and self-esteem can regulate the
negative emotional state of depression, anxiety and stress of college students. Among
them, self-esteem is the only non-cognitive ability factor that has significant influence
on the three negative emotional states. The non-cognitive ability can also restrain the
negative emotional state by improving life satisfaction Emotions. The research results
of this study can provide a broader perspective and a more novel work idea for the
mental health of college students. Starting from improving the non-cognitive ability of
college students, we can improve the life satisfaction during the university period, so
as to alleviate the negative psychological state.
