With the rapid development of China’s economy and society, the change
of media channels has accelerated the communication and dissemination of social
culture. As a new media, new mainstream films directly participate in the narrative
system of discourse and model value shaping of China’s rise and become an important
cultural communication phenomenon. In Chinese contemporary new mainstream the
basis of the archetype of the hero of the movie story, from the perspective of media
depth psychology analysis was carried out on the hero archetype, explore the collective
unconscious hero culture propagation path and characteristics of the archetype, the
mainstream values can be integrated with the hero role model of depth psychology
research and thinking, has important social value and practical significance and
guiding significance to the development.
