As the main carrier of language and culture teaching, Chinese textbook
is more important medium to cultivate students’ outstanding personality value
orientation than other subjects. In order to explore the objective of personality
cultivation in Chinese textbooks, study based on the hypothesis of personality
lexicology and the methods of Chinese personality vocabulary research, collected,
semantically encoded and classified the personality vocabulary in Chinese textbooks
for primary and secondary schools. After comparing, classifying and integrating it with
the questionnaire survey of 300 college students on the familiarity and preference of
the personality vocabulary they like and dislike, the preliminary personality structure
in the Chinese textbook is obtained, which includes 3 first-level factor groups, 12
second-level factor groups and 40 third-level factor groups.
